Video game moments that scared you
Talk about what game moments just freaked you out.

I think the worst for me ever was in Resident Evil 2 when the licker jumps out from behind the mirror... I almost broke my window throwing the controller out of shock.

Just playing through FEAR and FEAR 2 is a nightmare in its own.

I hate the parts where it is pitch black and you must fight this ghost light that just randomly chases you....

To be honest, I've got to be the biggest wimp ever, because just the start screen of a game scared me. xD The end of it has a lighting bolt with the main villain's face in it, and it scared the living daylight out of me! It's right here:

It's not even all that scary, really.

Walking through a door gives you a cutscene of doing so, but on one occasion two zombies shambled through the door immediately, followed by a music sting.

-Condemned: Criminal Origins
(CAUTION: SPOILER)

In an abandoned school, you track down a gym teacher by the trail of body parts left behind by said teacher. Once you find his body you need to get a closeup on his face with your camera--and then instantly he turns to you with a gasp.

-Indigo Prophecy
There is a time when playing as a detective that you need to visit the archives in a police basement. The character is claustrophobic, and it shows as you very carefully navigate the dark corners. The darkness and the heavy breathing make for an unsettling atmosphere.

-Condemned 2: Bloodshot
In a secluded lodge, there is a single objective: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! Why, you ask? Because there's a bloodthirsty bear chasing you!

When I encountered the Brood Mother in Dragon Age:Origins. You know how hard it is to fight a creature without looking at it? (warning, if you do look at it, you will just throw up instantaneously). Also to check your parents aren't watching.

Dead Space and BioShock. They aren't moments, but a collection of them.

The hedge maze in RE4.

In Fable: The Lost Chapters, when Jack of Blades kills the player's mother.

Silent Hill: The cat jumping out the locker made me jump.
Dead Space: Several moments.
Resident Evil 2: The mirror scene which whaturmuva described.
Resident Evil Director's Cut: When the hunter jumps out from the corner in the blue/green room (the room that leads onto the feeler room?)

Those are the main moments that like, scared me or made me jump. Most of the time, things just creeped me out, like the first appearance of the zombie in RE1, first appearance of Licker in RE2, and when I was younger, I couldn't even get past Midwich Elementary school in Silent Hill, because I was too scared LOL.

There were a bunch of moments in Fatal Frame 3 which could fall under this. FEAR has a few good ones as well.

None. By the time I started playing games that would freak me out, I had stopped getting freaked out by anything in movies or games.

The extended ending of Sin and Punishment 2. Kachi's face, sudden change of tone in her voice, and the abrupt stop in the music gave me chills.

Was about 3am and I had coffee at a late hour like the Smart Nova I am and made me jump so hard it woke my mom up whos downstairs on the opposite side of the house
