It might be shocking to some, but I'm actually a huge Megaman fan. But there are so many different versions of him it's hard to pick which one you like better.

So which version do you like better? It's a tie between X and the Classics for me.

NOTE: This can mean series or character.

Definitely the Battle Network series at least as far as character designs, they're much more detailed and unique than their Classic series counterparts, but still more simplistic and memorable than those of the X series.

Series and character go to Megaman.EXE for me. The Battle Network was tons of fun and I loved Megaman.EXE. I can't wait for his return.

Xavier_On_High: But then, Prime made the suits look too metallic.

DarkXDizi: Gee, maybe because they're made of metal? Hang on, I have to ditch this apple, it looks too organic and it's bothering me.

Yeah, no. I totally agree. Ridley said fervently. Yech. I'm sure you're hot for a human, but... f it. Why are we even still talking about this?

Because I can't exactly ask you if you caught the last Blitzball championship.
Samus shrugged.

Yeah, true.
Ridley agreed, then waited a moment before continuing. Who won?

Why does everyone love Battle Network so much?

Also I hate to say it Freedom but I don't think he's coming back.

Like I said, better character designs. But if you thought I was being too vague about it, lets look at the fire-themed bosses.

Heat Man (classic)
Some might argue "less is more", and I usually prefer something silly over something too elaborate, but this guy looks like a dopey-eyed Mega Man wearing a zippo lighter. There are Bomberman characters with more variety than this.

Heatman.EXE
The Battle Network redesign still follows the same silly premise, but he actually looks threatening now. He also looks nothing like Megaman.EXE, or anything humanoid for that matter, but it's still a simplistic and straightforward design.

Flame Stag
Now looking at the opposite extreme, the MMX characters just have too much going on. Elaborate designs can work, but there's just nothing memorable about one like this. I guess the "antlers of fire" are pretty creative, but the design as a whole looks like they took a bunch of good designs and put them in a blender.

Eh, Battle Network reminds me too much of Pokemon.

Also it's funny you bring up Flame Stag because I was just playing Megaman X2.

I hate his voice though, actually, I hate it when any Megaman sounds like Megaboy.

I liked Megaman Zero. It was just an amazing, challenging game series, and Zero looked awesome. Battle Network is an extremely close second, as well.

Heh, I heard a lot of good stuff about the Zero games. Also, they're TheHellDragon's favorites!

There were many things to love about Megaman Zero! The art was fantastic and original, and even more so was the difficulty and gameplay. At first, it was originally, you get 4 weapons(the last being a special one that changes every game), and then you have to level them up. But it was pretty cool with what they did with it afterward, and especially the Zero Knuckle in Megaman Zero 4.
