Well it isn't because at the time it being dark didn't set well with the fans and Dr. Robotnik has already taken over the world which never happened in the games.

Okay, now I'm a Satam Fan myself, but even I have to admit it's a noncanon TO THE GAMES. Now do I want it canon? I wouldn't care if it's noncanon or canon. Plus if I do want it canon, I wouldn't be because of Sally (She's not even the reason why I like the show, don't get me wrong, I think she's a decent character) it would because of the good story, and action.
