Zezzy and I are discussing renaming the Portal, but can't find anything we'd really both agree on.

If you have an idea and it isn't there, please suggest a name.

Home sounds best as if, you just enter the url for this site, it takes you too the portal, so it is our home, also, home is a name common to most sites.

In my opinion, the name should stay as portal. It somewhat makes sense seeing that it is the entranceway to the site.
