I feel the need to post topics. Do you prefer the stages in Sonic to look realistic like in Sonic 06 or more fanatastic like in basically every other Sonic game. I like how it was in Unleashed, with the stages designed to e based of of real places but still not quite realistic with all of the vibrant colors and crazy landscape designs.

I like cartoony Sonic games, I HATE realism! It's one of the main things I hate in Sonic games these days, they shouldn't look all realistic, it doesn't suit the Sonic series, ATALL.

I think Sonic is much more at home in a cartoony, hyper-real environment. The various characters that populated Unleashed looked like they came out of a Pixar movie; exaggerated and yet readable and unique. Stylistically, stacking Sonic alongside photorealistic humans is not a good move (unless it's someone in a Sonic costume).
